Natalia is a spectator to her own life in the café, until Parsley Park arrives amid a flurry of odd happenings. Boys are stepping out of time. The fairy roads are waking up. And there’s something off about the regulars.

When someone close to her goes missing, Nat has to team up with Ryker, a runaway chasing his sister to get them back. The trail leads the gang deep into the mountains where they find more than any of them bargained for.

Set in Virginia, Defining Lines is and is near and dear to my heart. I filled it with every little piece of magic I’ve collected while growing up in these mountains. Copses of trees that only appear at dusk. Forest paths lines with wildflowers. Trees that watch you.

Truly, if a tree falls in a forest, it will make a sound, a CRASH. Heard by the bugs and birds, the fungus and faceless things that have ears all the same.
